NC State announced today that Josh Davis will be transferring from the school. Davis rarely played averaging just over 10 minutes per game and didn't play in NC State's final 5 games of the season. Davis averaged 2.6 points per game and 1.7 rebounds per game during his action.
Davis was a local recruit from Raleigh's Athens Drive High School and his coach Sidney Lowe had nothing but good things to say about him...
“Josh was one of the hardest workers we had this past season,” said Lowe. “Whenever he was inserted into the game something positive seemed to happen. Josh just expressed to me that he feels like he could have better opportunities at another school. We wish him nothing but the best.”
Davis is one of a few players that would have likely seen his playing time decrease in large part due to a highly rated incoming freshman class.
Sidney Lowe also announced officially that Julius Mays is transferring from the school. This news has been out for some time, but Mays asked that the official announcement not happen until after the semester had ended.
