The NCAA has released its honor list of schools who placed teams in the top 10 percent of Academic Progress Rates in their respective sports, and UNC has eight teams honored as among the best.

Earning recognition as having in the top 10% of APR for their sports are women’s fencing, women’s golf, women’s gymnastics, volleyball, men’s and women’s swimming, baseball, and, for the fifth year in a row, men’s basketball.

In the ACC, only Boston College and Duke placed more teams in the top 10% than Carolina.

Congrats to the athletic department and to the student-athletes and staff of these sports for getting it done on the field and in the classroom.
