Kyle Singler Returning To Duke

NCAA Championship Game: Butler v Duke

Jeff Goodman (aka @goodmanonfox) tweeted just a few minutes ago...

SCOOP: Sources told FOXSports.com Duke junior forward Kyle Singler will return to school and NOT test the NBA waters.

This likely means that Duke is a solid pick to be the #1 team in the nation at the start of the 2010-11 season.  This comes after Duke never held the top spot in either poll this past season, yet won the national championship.  The interesting part of the decision will be how Singler is used next season.

In Duke's title run, the Blue Devils were thin in the backcourt and needed Singler to move to the small forward.  This after Singler had played the power forward and center positions in his freshman and sophomore seasons.  With the addition of Kyrie Irving and Seth Curry in the backcourt, Singler may be asked to move back to the power forward position more for Duke.  This would be a move away from Singler's future NBA position of small forward.

Wherever Singler plays, the Blue Devils will be stacked and a strong favorite to repeat as national champions.
