The ACC May Be Hard to Recognize Next Season

Patrick Stevens writes about the ACC's NBA departures this summer and notes that next season the league may struggle to have anyone ranked in the top 20...

Consider, these are the eight players who averaged 12 points last season who are not currently in the draft:

Kyle Singler, Duke
Nolan Smith, Duke
Tracy Smith, N.C. State
Dorenzo Hudson, Virginia Tech
Joe Trapani, Boston College
Reggie Jackson, Boston College
Jeff Allen, Virginia Tech
Mike Scott, Virginia

Which is to say just about no one will be assured of being a top-20 team. Well, other than Duke, which looks pretty imposing even if Singler goes.

Looking at departures alone isn't the best baromoter as Duke and UNC have strong incoming classes that will vault them into the top 20, but the point is still valid.  Thinking in different terms, who on that list do you consider a 1st team All-ACC player (especially if Singler declares)?
