A few days ago I read Heather Dinich's post Questions Surround Georgia Tech on the ESPN web site. She was almost predicting Tech was going to have a down year in football due primarily to all of the coaching changes. In the past I have wondered why Tech fans were so hostile to Heather and in my mind found myself defending her. Then she writes this piece. It is not that she may not be right, Tech may indeed have a somewhat down year, it is just that she seemed to be straining for reasons. In the end she almost suggest tension among the coaching staff and a slightly veiled inference that coaches were leaving as a result. I could go on but I would invite others who have not read the article to do so and see what their take is on it.
I still do not hate Heather but for the first time I am seriously starting to doubt her ability to analyze an athletic program. It was as if she was just trying to dream up something to write about. What is your take on this?
