With four seniors and very possibly sophomore Al-Farouq Aminu leaving after this season, Wake Forest will have a decidedly different team next season.
And it will include Nikita Mescheriakov, a 6-7 forward from Minsk, Belarus.
Mescheriakov, who spent the past 2½ seasons at Georgetown before announcing plans to transfer last month, said yesterday that he has committed to play at Wake Forest. He will enroll for the spring semester and become eligible in December, after first-semester exams end.
