NC State men’s basketball coach Sidney Lowe announced Monday that junior Tracy Smith has been suspended for the Wolfpack’s game at Arizona for violating the ACC policy regarding commenting on officials.
Smith, who made the comments Sunday night following the loss at Wake Forest, will continue to practice and travel with the team to Arizona, but will not compete.
The shame of it is that this game looks very winnable. Arizona has limped its way to a 4-5 start, and the Cats actually rank below NC State in the Pomeroy ratings. But now, without our lone interior presence and best rebounder? Seems it won't be a merry Macrowave Christmas after all.
