The Roy Williams fan confrontation at the UNC/Presbyterian game has received a lot of attention and since we ran our story a few days ago we have gotten a few comments on the situation. Most of the comments said Williams was out of line for his reaction, but one comment came from a Presbyterian fan (aka PC fan) that was at the game...
I'm seeing the same account of this everywhere--crazy how one story spreads. I was there, sitting in the next section, cheering for Presbyterian. This guy was CRAZY drunk, yelling profanity for the whole game up until that point. Someone sitting next to me said he also threw something at the court, but I didn't see that myself. What the video doesn't show is the guy continuing to be a jerk while the police were in the aisles, trying to get him to come quietly. They had to crawl over people in his row and drag him out. The friends he was there with were even trying to get him to go with the police...
Now that appears to make more sense. Thanks to PC fan for leaving the comment!
