ACC Football Week #8: Review

The game of the week was Clemson beating Miami in OT to move to 3-2 in the ACC positioning the Tigers atop of Atlantic Division. That win in combination with Georgia Tech’s win over Virginia handed the Coastal Division to the Yellow Jackets for all intents and purposes. GT only needs to beat Wake Forest and Duke to secure a spot in the ACC Championship Game. Stranger things have happened but neither one of those teams are impressive enough on defense to stop the Jackets if they get rolling and only Duke among that pair can go toe-to-toe in a shootout. At this point it is looking like Paul Johnson will head to Tampa in his 2nd season.

Duke beat Maryland and is now 2-1 in the ACC and 4-3 overall. That is downright sickening.

Boston College and Wake Forest both came up short versus Notre Dame and Navy respectively dooming the ACC to another losing record outside the conference on the weekend.
