QB Christian Ponder

Despite the fact that FSU as a whole has struggled so far this year, their junior signal-caller Ponder has been rather solid. He has been very efficient so far this year, completing 66% of his passes and throwing only 1 interception. FSU's offense runs heavily through him, as evidenced by his 1,082 yards through the air so far this season. Yet, along with his arm, Ponder is also a threat with his feet, as BC fans saw a bit of last season. One question mark for him is that last week Ponder's mobility was heavily hampered by an injury to his right knee. If his quickness is once again in doubt this week, look for a much easier game for the BC defense as they would not have to worry about Ponder's dual-threat abilities.

LB Dekoda Watson

The senior linebacker has shined through the first 4 games of the year, proving himself the leader of Mickey Andrews' defense. So far on the year, Watson has already recorded 24 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks (which is tied for 9th in the nation). In order to give either Shinskie or Tuggle time this week to throw, the offensive line and running backs (who may have to pick him up on blitzes) will have to always know where Watson is on the field.

CB/KR/PR Greg Reid

So far, the former 27th player in the nation (according to rivals.com), has lived up to his billing at FSU. So far, the true freshman has already broken up 5 passes on defense, along with recording 2 interceptions on the year (one returned for a 63 yard TD). Along with excellent ball-hawking skills, Reid also has excelled in the return game so far this season. On the year Reid averages 25.8 yards per kick return, and 15.7 yards per punt return. Look for Reid's big play ability on defense and special teams Saturday, as he looks to continue a stellar freshman campaign.
