Aside from being held on parents' weekend, this game takes on extra importance after the abysmal showing by the offense last week.
The offense, most importantly the line, will be looking to make adjustments and prove last week was a fluke. I hope the coaching staff will be able to address these areas of concern because fans may not be able to take another floundering effort offensively.
Boston College's young quarterbacks need some confidence and momentum heading into the bulk of conference play. I'm not completely sold on any ACC team (aside from possibly Miami) and if our defense continues to play like they did on Saturday we could still be in the thick of things. The Eagles have been counted out many times before and it is much to soon to write this season off completely. That being said, our sights are set considerably lower this year and I think if Boston College becomes bowl eligible that should constitute a success.
The difference between being 3-1 versus 2-2 heading into our most difficult stretch is enormous which is why this game could end up being so important.
