Boston College - Clemson | Keys to the Game

Contain Big Plays

This is pretty obvious for the Eagles. CJ Spiller and Jacoby Ford have elite speed and Clemson will be doing all they can to get these guys the ball in space. It is vital for our defensive backs to make sure tackles because it only takes one miss for these guys to blow through the second level for a big play.

Pressure Kyle Parker

The pass rush has been rather weak the first two games (just 1 registered sack). This will be important against the freshman quarterback for the Tigers. If we can get to him and disrupt his timing we may be able to stay in the game longer.

Dominate Up Front

Historically our match ups with Clemson have always been physical and traditionally this has been to our advantage. I think this bodes well for us this year as well. Our offensive line is much bigger and stronger than Clemson's defensive line, which is smaller and more athletic. We may have success running the ball up the middle with Harris and Haden.
