Boston College QB Depth Chart

The Globe's Mark Blaudschun is reporting the BC QB depth chart is currently looking like this:

1. David Shinskie
2. Michael Marscovetra
3. Justin Tuggle
4. Codi Boek

A few things worth mentioning here. As ATL Eagle commented earlier, Marscovetra has really come in and proven he can compete early. Much was made of his low recruiting ranking and the fact he had no other D-1 offers, but as the article says, je "has thrown the ball better than anyone."

Its also interesting to see that Tuggle has already slipped down the depth chart to 3rd string. He was competing for a starting job in the Spring, but now he is just battling for a back-up spot.

Plenty can still change between now and the start of the regular season and I'm willing to bet this changes before the opening game. It does appear that Shinskie is ahead of the pack, if not for his play but his maturity to manage to offense.

We'll see how things shape up in the next two weeks.
