Kevin Noreen, a 6'8 small forward from Minnesota, is on campus today visiting Boston College. Noreen is a member of the 2010 class. The coaching staff is actively pursuing Noreen, a phenomenal scorer on pace to break the state scoring record in Minnesota. Through his junior season he has scored 2,881 points (the record is 3,428). Noreen is a very highly regarded player who also values academics, which could be an important factor for BC.
Reports indicate that Noreen is still growing and could reach as tall as 6'10. Noreen is also being recruited by Wisconsin, Gonzaga, Marquette, Minnesota, NC St. The recruiting sites have yet to indicate a scholarship offer from BC, but I would not be surprised if the staff offers him while he is here visiting.
