It appears UVa is going to short route on the coaching search and grabbing a middle tier guy instead of aiming high. Opting to not pursue Tubby Smith or Jeff Capel, the Cavs have settled on Washington State head coach Tony Bennett who employs that horrid Slow Tempo Ugly Basketball. I am sure it has a name but I have no idea what it is so let’s call it Slow Tempo Ugly Basketball(STUB for short.) UNC saw STUB firsthand in the Sweet Sixteen last season and despite the proclamations that the Heels could not win a game versus a team playing STUB, UNC up winning by 21. So when UNC plays UVa we have so much to look forward including the possibility our eyes might bleed.
Based on the comments at The Sabre, the Cavalier fan base is about as excited as Ben Stein in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
