I'm still enjoying a nice vacation with my family but as you may have noticed I've been able to keep things going on the site. This is the last real weekend of non-conference play for the ACC, so the games have some extra importance for a couple reasons...
- going into a brutal conference schedule, it's always nice to go in on a high note
- the ACC is the top rated conference for most ratings systems, and conference play "shouldn't" have an effect when comparing conference to conference
Here's the schedule for the weekend. Note that 8 of the 10 games are scheduled to have live stats, and there are plans to have the other two games as well.

The big matchups for the conference are Virginia/Xavier, Alabama/Georgia Tech, Florida/NC State. The ACC could lose all of the games, but a win would be a huge accomplishment for the conference.
Checking around the internet, and DBR makes a good point about the Wake/BYU game...
They also have a potential particular pitfall for the young Deacons: the flagship Mormon school traditionally has guys back from their evangelistic missions who are a couple of years older than the rest of the college basketball world. So while Wake is putting out kids from 18-20, BYU’s might be as old as 24.
BYU also owns the nation’s longest home winning streak, by the way.
Outside of the conference there are a couple big matchups as well...
- Noon Pitt at Georgetown Live Stats
- 2 PM Tennessee at Kansas
