For the 2nd time in a matter of 12 months, Brian Zoubek has broken the 5th metatarsal in his left foot. Zoubek missed 10 weeks when he broke the same bone over the summer.

It had seemed the 7 footer had just started to get himself back into playing shape, and started in Duke's last game, a win over Cornell.

Coach K made the following statement in a press release...

“This is a setback for Brian and for the team,” said Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski. “He worked hard to recover from the injury over the summer and was beginning to solidify his role with the team. We have total confidence that Brian will recover from the injury and return as soon as he is physically able.”

Lance Thomas, Taylor King, and David McClure are the most likely to see increased playing time due to Zoubek's injury.
