Game Recap

Wake Forest lost to Miami today 69-56 on the road, wrapping up a 1-8 road record, and a 16-15 overall record this season. This article will serve as a recap, as well as a template, for every other road game recap we have written over the past four years under Jeff Bzdelik

Today in *INSERT CITY HERE* (Coral Gables), the *INSERT HOME TEAM HERE* (Miami Hurricanes) defeated the Wake Forest Demon Deacons by a final score of *INSERT FINAL SCORE HERE* (69-56).

The *INSERT NICKNAME HERE* (Hurricanes) were led by senior *INSERT NAME HERE* (Garrius Adams), who set a career high with *INSERT CAREER HIGH POINT TOTAL HERE* (22 points).

The Deacs got off to a reasonable start, leading *INSERT INITIAL SCORE HERE* (14-9) over *INSERT OPPOSING TEAM NAME HERE* (Miami) before a *INSERT RUN HERE* (14-0) run gave the  *INSERT OPPOSING TEAM NICKNAME HERE* (Canes) a *INSERT SCORE HERE* (23-14) lead that would not be relinquished.

Wake was led by *INSERT WAKE FOREST PLAYER HERE* (senior Coron Williams), who finished with *INSERT POINT TOTAL HERE* (17 points). *INSERT PLAYER LAST NAME HERE* (Williams) seemed to be one of the only Deacs interested in playing with any intensity at all on the day, as Jeff Bzdelik (presumably) finished his Wake Forest head coaching career with an ACC road record of 2-32.

The *INSERT TEAM NAME HERE* (Miami Hurricanes) out-rebounded the Deacons by a final tally of *INSERT REBOUNDING TOTAL HERE* (38-19). The *INSERT TEAM NICKNAME HERE* (Hurricanes) finished with *INSERT OFFENSIVE REBOUNDING TOTAL HERE* (14 offensive rebounds), and were led by *INSERT OPPOSING PLAYER HERE* (Tonye Jekiri) with *INSERT TOTAL NUMBER OF REBOUNDS HERE* (9 total rebounds).

After this loss the Deacs have secured the 12-seed in the ACC Tournament, and will play open the ACC Tournament against the 13-seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish at 1:00 on Wednesday.

Senior Travis McKie will seek to get his first post-season win in a Wake Forest uniform, and hopefully not become the first Demon Deacon ever to not win a post-season game.

Editors Note: This template will hopefully change effective immediately following the ACC Tournament loss on Wednesday (possibly Thursday).
