The ACC's three biggest questions of week 9

We ask the three biggest ACC football question marks of that week. Here we go for Week 8.

Will North Carolina implode like last year?

Last year UNC was 9-1 when they lost at home as a huge favorite against Georgia Tech. They never won another game. This year 6-0, and a huge favorite at home against Virginia. The same thing happened, UNC lost. Will the Tar Heels season fall apart. Fortunately I think the Tar Heels will be able to recover. They get a Georgia Tech that can’t beat anyone of consequence at home and just fell apart in the 4th quarter against Boston College – at home. UNC should be fine, but we’ve seen some crazy results in the ACC this year.

Has Miami put their 2 game-losing streak behind them now?

Miami showed some real resilience fighting back against Clemson down 10 late in the 3rd quarter with their backup QB. Don’t overlook improved Virginia, but it feels like the Canes are a galvanized team. They should have Tyler Van Dyke back at QB as well. Remember this is a team that is a kneel down from being 6-1 and ranked about 20th in the country. Someone still needs to get in Mario Christobal’s ear late in games though. His decision to play for OT was odd at best.

How big is Louisville vs Duke?

Barring a total collapse, Florida State is set as one ACC Championship Game participant. On the other side, we could be looking at Duke, Louisville, UNC, or Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech?! Yes with just 1 conference loss, they are theoretically in the mix. This weekend Louisville and Duke face off, and this is huge. The loser is probably out of the ACCCG race, but the winner is in great shape having knocked off one of their closest competitors for the trip to Charlotte.
