The ACC's three biggest questions of week 3

We ask the three biggest ACC football question marks of that week. Here we go for Week 3.

Can Pittsburgh bounce back against West Virginia?

I’ll be honest I did not Pittsburgh losing at home to Cincinnati. Phil Jurkovec threw 22 incomplete passes out of 32 attempts, and the Panthers only had 261 yards of offense. They managed to get to a 1 score game, but it was a listless ugly performance for Pitt. Now we get to the Backyard Brawl being played at West Virginia (1-1). This is a dangerous game for the Pitt that could send the season sideways fast.  I can’t imagine Pittsburgh can play worse offensively than they did against the Bearcats.

Will we see the real North Carolina this weekend against Minnesota?

Two weeks ago North Carolina looked like a top 10 team suffocating South Carolina. Last week against Appalachian State the Heels regressed to last year where they could move the ball but couldn’t stop anyone giving up nearly 500 yards and 34 points to App State. Minnesota Saturday is a good test. The Gophers are a bit offensively challenged, but they can play some defense and are likely a bowl team. This is not a game a top 20 team should be losing at home. We’ll find out by Saturday night who the real Tar Heels are.

Who proves they are legit 3-0 Syracuse or Louisville?

So Syracuse and Louisville are both sitting 2-0 which legit tests this weekend against Purdue and Indiana. Syracuse and Louisville are both favored. I’m feeling more confident in the Cardinals, because of the way they can stretch the field with WR Jamari Thrash and some of their offensive weapons. I’m not selling Syracuse short as they’ve looked dominant in their two games with Colgate and Western Michigan and I think they have a fair chance of getting to 3-0 as well.
