What has been seen cannot be unseen.

That's what it's like when you look at Boston College's offensive numbers.

In the KenPom era, the worst offensive efficiency in the ACC prior to this season was Boston College in 2012 at 93.3. At present the 2016 Eagles are at 90.9. In ACC play, Boston College has an offensive efficiency of just 81.7. The Eagles are shooting just 40.7% from two in ACC games, 33.6% from three and 63.9% at the line with a TO% of 22.0, an OR% of 20.0(!) and a DR% of 22.3.

To fully quantify this, UNC faces/faced just two teams with an offensive efficiency less than 100. One of those was Tulane at 97.0 and Boston College hover at 90. At 255th in KenPom, Boston College is easily the worst team on the schedule, worst than UNCG. In fact if Boston College were in the Southern Conference it would be the worst offensive team in the league. Only one Boston College player has an offensive rating over 100 and he is the only Eagles ahead of the worst ORtg on among UNC's regular which is Joel James' 96.2.

Adding to the Eagles' woes is the loss of Jerome Robinson for 3-6 weeks with a broken wrist and Daryl Hicks for this game with a concussion. Robinson is the team's second leading scorer further crippling a barely operational offensive unit. The only bright spots is a decent defense. Boston College's defensive efficiency is 98.0 good enough for 71st nationally. However in ACC play that number is 13th in the league at 112.5.

In short this game is a perfect chance for UNC to break its shooting slump.
