Quite the honor.

Class of 2017 signee Oshae Brissett was named the Player of the Year in Canada at the BioSteel All-Canadian Game on Monday evening.

In the game, Brissett finished with 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting and six rebounds.

The top 24 players in the country are invited to play in the event, which is much like the McDonald’s All-American Game or Jordan Brand Classic in America.

Brissett’s teammate at Athlete Institute, and 2017 SU commit, Howard Washington also played in the game.

Some notable alum from the BioSteel All-Canadian Game include Jamal Murray and Thon Maker, both of whom are in the NBA.

The game is run and operated by Tony McIntyre, who is also the co-founder of the AAU program CIA Bounce. He is also former SU point guard Tyler Ennis’ father.

SU has three members in its 2017 recruiting class, and could add up to three more players for next year’s team.
