Some news about Wake's top target.

Per a report, Harry Giles will not be taking his official visit to the University of North Carolina next weekend. Giles is the top player in the 2016 recruiting class, and is Wake Forest's top target. He has already taken official visits to Wake Forest, Kansas, and Kentucky. He is scheduled to take an official visit to Duke on the weekend of Halloween. That should be his final official visit.

Now that Giles has next weekend free, the watch is one whether or not Harry Giles takes an unofficial visit to Wake Forest for Black&Gold Madness on Friday night. Several members of the Blogger So Dear staff will be at the event, and will be able to report whether or not he is in attendance.

With North Carolina essentially being eliminated, Giles is seemingly down to four schools, with Wake Forest being one of them. Wake Forest currently has verbal commitments from 3-stars Brandon Childress, Richard Washington, and Donovan Mitchell, as well as 4-star Samuel Japhet-Mathias. A commitment from Giles would significantly alter the future of Danny Manning and the Wake Forest basketball program.

Harry has elite talent, and will be playing his final high school season at the prestigious Oak Hill Academy. At 6'10", he has a scary combination of height, athleticism, ball handling, and touch around the basket. He reminds me a lot of Chris Webber, and he has all of the tools to be an NBA All-Star in the not too distant future.
