Well here we go. It’s time to start ranking the best players in the ACC for the 2019 season. As usual we hope you enjoy the rankings.

Previous and Upcoming Rankings

Quarterbacks | Running Backs | Wide Receivers | Offensive Linemen |
Tight Ends | Defensive Linemen | Linebackers | Safeties | Special Teams

1) Bryce Hall, Virginia

Virginia got some great news last year when their All-American, All-ACC cornerback Bryce Hall decided to return for his Senior year. He led the nation with 22 pass breakups and 24 passes defended. He’s a lockdown corner, and would have been a 1st round pick last year, and barring injury he’ll be a certain 1st round pick this year.

2) A.J. Terrell, Clemson

A.J. Terrell was named 3rd Team All-ACC last year. That’s a fine season to be sure, but if he plays like he did in the national title game he could be an All-American. Facing Alabama’s explosive offense, Terrell had a pick 6, and 8 tackles. He helped make the Tide offense looked in a word – ordinary. He had 53 tackles last year and is projected to be a first or second round NFL pick.

3) Essang Bassy, Wake Forest

Essang Bassy has been one of Wake Forest’s most consistent and dependable defensive players the last few years. He was an honorable mention All-ACC player in 2017 and a 2nd team All-ACC cornerback last season. He had 74 tackles, with 53 of those solo in 2018. He is a definite NFL prospect, and I’ve seen him projected anywhere from the 5th to 7th round. A good senior year could move him even higher.

4) Trajan Bandy, Miami

Tranjan Bandy may only be 5-9, but he had a breakout sophomore year. Last season he had 36 tackles and 5 total turnovers with 3 interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries. He goes into his junior season as one of the top 30 draftable CBs in the country by drafttek.com.

5) Dane Jackson, Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh has a sneaky good CB unit starting with Dane Jackson. Jackson was an honorable mention All-ACC player last year. He had 14 pass break ups, and 4 forced fumbles. He’s also excellent against the run.
