Integrating SMU, Cal, and Stanford into the ACC Football schedule was never going to be easy, but in the end I think the ACC did a reasonable job of maintaining some of the rivalry games on a yearly basis while minimizing travel as much as possible.
The other thing I like is every graduating class will play every other ACC team at least once during their time at the ACC school.
That’s already better than the Coastal Atlantic Division we had for years.
New ACC schedule for 2024-30
– All 17 teams play each other at least twice in 7 years
– Current 14 conference teams will play a total of 3 times each in California
