Today site contributor @Hokiesmash  sent out this tweet…

We got back several great questions, that @Hokiesmash and I will be answering over the next few days. I’ll be answering the first one tonight.

BrissettRecently I said that NC State could emerge as the ACC teams that breaks out to win 10+ games in the same way that Georgia Tech did last year and Duke the year before. The Wolfpack have the combination of favorable schedule and a solid quarterback in Jacoby Brissett that could make this a special season Raleigh. The schedule should allow the Wolfpack to start the season 4-0 with Troy, Eastern Kentucky, Old Dominion, and South Alabama to start things out in 2015.

The swing game for NC State is going be game 5 when they host Louisville. That could get the Wolfpack to 5-0 before a road game at Virginia Tech. I think NC State is capable of a split here. They are better than Wake Forest, BC, Syracuse and North Carolina. NC State won’t win at FSU. That leaves Clemson who must play at Carter-Finley. The Tigers have had trouble in Raleigh recent years there, but I don’t have the guts to call the upset.

I believe Brissett in his 2nd year starting will show more consistency this year. If you remember there were some shaky games last year for Brissett especially during the middle of the year, but he’s a talented player that should take the another step in 2015. There’s talent at RB and TE and the offense will be solid, but I don’t trust the defense. I’m not sure how good a fairly inexperienced front seven will be. I think with a bit of luck NC State could go 10-2, but at the very least this be a 7 win bowl team. They will be just too good on offense.

I feel like this is an 8-4 team, but I just think Brissett will elevate the Wolfpack enough to a very nice 9-3 year and a chance at top 25 season.
