Let's take a look at FSU football.

Best / Worst Case Record for :

Louisville | Virginia | Miami | Duke | Georgia Tech | Boston College | Pittsburgh | Virginia Tech | NC State | Clemson |  Syracuse | North Carolina | Wake Forest

ACC 2023 Football Schedule

Florida State

Welcome back Florida State Seminoles. The Seminole football program had been MIA since 2016, but in 2022 the Noles resembled the program they are undoubtedly capable of being year in and year out. That is one of the best teams in college football. Last season they finished in the top 12, won 10 games, a bowl game, and went 2-0 against their SEC opponents. Building on a strong 2022 Mike Norvell hire looks really good now, and the Noles could potentially have a very special season.

Will Go 12-0 (8-0) if:

Florida State can beat LSU and Clemson. Florida State can’t sleep walk through the rest of their schedule outside of LSU and Clemson. Games at Wake Forest, at Pittsburgh, and at Florida will have the Noles’s attention, but you really have to like FSU’s chances of running the table if they win those two games. They have what I believe to be the most complete QB in the ACC with Jordan Travis, and the ACC’s best defensive player in Jared Verse. There’s talent all over this team and a great QB to lead them. They have real playoff potential.

Will Go 8-4 (5-3) if:

They can’t manage expectations. We’ve seen a lot of teams get crushed by pre-season expectations and Florida State hasn’t had a lot of them for awhile They do this year. How many programs have opened the year with high expectations, and a SEC Power opponent has derailed the season before it even starts. Lose against LSU and Clemson, and suddenly Florida State is 2-2 and struggling to regroup. Games at Wake Forest, at Pitt, and at Florida could cause a problem. Don’t sleep on Duke, and while FSU will be favored over Miami – you know that’s a big-time rivalry.
