GAME NOTES: The Virginia Tech Hokies are desperately trying to put an end to a current eight-game losing streak, and they'll have a tough test ahead of them Wednesday as they travel to face the Florida State Seminoles in Atlantic Coast Conference play at the Donald Tucker Center.
The last time Virginia Tech recorded a win was back on Dec. 31. The Hokies have only beaten Miami, 61-60 in overtime, in the ACC this year. They're coming off an 80-60 clobbering at the hands of Maryland Saturday.
Florida State hasn't had much success lately either, losing each of its last three games and four of its last five. The Seminoles are coming off a terrible offensive showing against Clemson, losing 53-49 and scoring fewer than 50 points for the first time all season.
Florida State still holds the all-time series lead over Virginia Tech, 27-20. This is the first and only time the two programs will meet on the hardwood during the regular season.
