Key for Wake Forest

That Wake Forest on the road thing? Yeah, it’s still a thing.

On the road in the ACC, this Wake Forest team has looked like a hot mess. And by “hot mess”, I mean it’s been outscored by 15.6 points per game, is shooting 37.5% from the floor and averaging 14.3 turnovers (19.9 in the last two road games). Wake’s ACC road opponents have shot 50.4% (49.6% from three) and averaged 75.3 points (to 59.7 for Wake). Yeah. It’s not good. Wake at home in the ACC is +6.0 per game, and shoots 46.3%, averaging 70.4 PPG turning it over just 13.7 times per game. Wake’s opponents at home are shooting 41.8% and averaging 64.4 PPG and averaging 15.4 turnovers. Wake has two double-digit home ACC wins at home and five double-digit road losses. Oh yeah, and Wake has knocked off two ranked opponents at home and very nearly a third, when it had Duke on the ropes. On the road, Wake can’t beat anyone. Not Virginia Tech, not Georgia Tech, not Boston College - anyone. It’s insane.

TALLAHASSEE — It is now safe to say that Florida State's postseason basketball hopes hinge on a long ACC tournament run.

After an 80-70 loss at Virginia Tech on Sunday helped snap the Hokies' nine-game losing streak, the Seminoles reached a new low. At 14-13 overall and 6-8 in the ACC, they fell to two games under .500 in conference play for the first time this year.
