CLEMSON — After 12 games that include eight victories, four losses and a modest two-game winning streak, the Clemson Tigers hit the reset button on their 2012-13 season when they begin ACC play at Littlejohn Coliseum.

Florida State (8-5) provides the opposition starting at 4:06 p.m. Saturday as the league begins its first-ever 18-game regular season slate.

Brad Brownell’s Tigers opened the new year with a 92-51 thrashing of The Citadel on Tuesday, a game that saw the winners register their most points, field goals (35) and largest margin of victory since Brownell took over the program in 2010.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (seminoles.com) - Florida State, the reigning ACC Champion, opens its 2012-13 ACC schedule as it travels to play Clemson on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, S.C. The Seminoles have won 14 of their last 19 regular season ACC games (.737 winning percentage) after finishing with a school record 12-4 conference record and in third place in the ACC standings during the 2012-13 season. The Seminoles also won two of their final three regular season games of the 2011-12 season and are the third winningest team in the ACC since the start of the 2005-06 season. The Seminoles are in the midst of a five-game road swing (their game against Clemson is the fourth of five games) on which they have a 2-1 record. Since just before the Christmas holiday, the Seminoles have played in North Carolina (at Charlotte), in Florida (against Tulsa in Sunrise) and in Alabama (against Auburn. Following Saturday's game against Clemson, the Seminoles will travel to play at Maryland at the Comcast Center in College Park on Wednesday for an 8:00 p.m. start before returning home for a Saturday game against North Carolina.
