Simulate This Game Again

I can't recall the last time that Maryland played a game on New Year's Day.  I thought there was an unwritten rule that the holiday was reserved exclusively for football.  I guess that has deteriorated now that the good bowl games all happen after the first of the year.  No matter.  Today's Terps game shouldn't be too exciting.  We're playing a team that pronounces its name, "Ooheey Pooey" for Pete's sake.  How good can they be?

We've all grown tired of these cupcake games and mercifully, today's is the last. Despite our readiness to get the real season underway, we have learned a few things along the way:

- Logan Aronhalt is one of the best three-point shooters we've ever seen in a Terp uniform.  He's currently hitting threes at 53% clip.
- Charles Mitchell is a "bawse".  In rapper parlance, that means an awesome gangster.  In basketball, it means a beast.  Simply put, Mitchell has the best rebounding instincts as well as some of the best footwork I've ever seen out of a Maryland freshman.  He's relentless.  He also has a nice touch from the FT line. He's further along than Shaq Cleare.
- Turns out that Pe'Shon Howard can play PG.  He's averaging over 6 assists and has assist to turnover ration over 3.2  Let's see how he does against ACC guards, but he's given us all we could have hoped for at this point.
- Dez Wells is one of the best combo guards Maryland has had in a loooong time.  I've been trying to think about the last guard the Terps have had who come close to Wells' skill set and I think we need to go back to the Wizard, Walt Williams.  That is saying something.

I think the Terps start the year in the same fashion that they ended it.  I predict a 25 point win.
