Game Recap

Boston College dropped to .500 on the year (12-12) with yet another ACC loss. BC fell behind by double-digits in the first half and it appeared Wake would run away with the game but BC actually outscored their opponent in the second half and kept the game close.

Senior Tyler Roche had a career night with 31 points including 6-8 from behind the arc. Roche nearly single handedly kept BC alive in this game and showed tremendous scoring ability and confidence in his game. Corey Raji put in a double-double (15 points 10 rebounds) and Reggie Jackson had 17 points off the bench.

Boston College was clearly over-matched in the front court without Joe Trapani. BC's front line combined for 0 FGs, 2 points, 6 rebounds, and 9 fouls. Wake Forest was able to control the paint and dominate the interior all game.

Boston College's defense was slow to react and gave up far to many uncontested shots allowing Wake to shoot over 57% in the game. I was also discouraged by the Eagles shot selection, particularly in the first half. BC settled for too many quick shots and took a remarkable 22 three-pointers. Rakim Sanders should not be shooting 5 threes in a game especially when he is shooting below 28%.
