Syracuse: Tyler Roberson Still Waiting On NCAA Eligibility

Say what you want about Tyler Roberson's grades and academic standing, but, at least he did what he was supposed to do in the time allotted.

The NCAA, on the other hand, is still twiddling it's thumbs in regards to his academic eligibility to play for the Syracuse Orange in 2013-2014.

Tuesday was the supposed final day that Roberson, a heralded 6-foot-9 forward out of Roselle, N.J., could be cleared in time to enroll for fall semester classes at Syracuse.

In a brief telephone conversation Tuesday afternoon, Roberson indicated that he had still not received an answer from the NCAA on whether his high school transcript and corresponding SAT score had been approved.

Man, just how many autographs did Roberson sign???

You know you're dealing with a bloating bureaucracy when they refuse to follow the same rules that they hold over their charges' heads under penalty of death.

Roberson has to make a decision very soon (like ASAP) as to whether or not he'll be able to enroll at SU (sans scholarship) or attend a prep school or JUCO for a year. He could also sit tight and wait for the NCAA to finally say something, possibly making it so he can join the Orange in spring semester.

And so we all wait...
