Biggest news of the day is obviously the Deacs' making waves and grabbing some bigtime OL commits. Basketball recruiting is going on strong and as always, BSD will be there to provide you with the best information you can find about Demon Deacon recruiting on the web. I'm trying to get with Jabarie Hinds here pretty soon, so keep an eye out. It's obviously a bit slow around these parts, but we will do our best to keep you up to date on anything you need to know.

Dubious Quality: A Modest Propoal
Here's something I saw over at Operation Sports about NCAA 11: EA confirmed via their Facebook fan page that Wake Forest's mascot, the Demon Deacon, will be in the game this year.

Scout.com: Easter Surprise From Intemann
Wake Forest added a commitment from one of the state's best linemen on Easter, picking up a surprise commitment from Dylan Intemann. A 6'5, 305 pound tackle out of Wake Forest (NC) Rolesville High, Intemann called the Demon Deacon coaching staff Sunday giving the Deacon staff some good news.

Recruiting Report: Gilman offensive lineman picks Wake Forest - Baltimoresun.com's Matt Bracken on University of Maryland, local and national recruiting news - baltimoresun.com
"Hunter's an extremely large kid at 6-6, 280. He just had a really strong year for us," Russell said. "He certainly opened holes for us in the running game. That will be his strength, definitely run blocking. He opened a lot of holes for Darius [Jennings] and Dexter Davis last year. The coaches were impressed with the physical nature he brings. He's also a very coachable kid who's very easy to get along with, and I think the coaches like that about him. They're excited to see how much he grows next year, especially with the schedule we're playing next year."

Dad Knows Best: Aminu sought approval of his father before making decision to enter the NBA Draft
"The last person was my dad," Aminu said. "I had to call my dad and make sure he felt OK. If he had pulled the string and said no, I would have probably -- maybe -- come back. I trust his opinion a lot." And it wasn't just what Aboubakar Aminu said but how he said it. "My dad was all for it," Aminu explained. "He was saying that you go to school to make money, and if this is the way you're going to make money, then that's what you should go for.

Scout.com: MD OT Commits To Wake
"I visited [Wake] a few and I was thinking about it – what could beat Wake? I made a pros and cons list and Wake was so far ahead. I knew I wanted to go there since middle school when Wake was my favorite team. There was no offer that could beat that."

McFarland, Smith to Compete in Portsmouth Invitational - WAKE FOREST OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE
