Last Week: 5-1  Overall: 49-13

Florida State vs. Syracuse

The last time (and only time) Syracuse has beaten Florida State was 1966. The meeting have been few and far between over the years, but this is now a more frequent occurrence, although Syracuse probably wishes not. The Seminoles won last year's meeting 59-3, and Syracuse may have a hard time scoring again this year, especially with Terrel Hunt out for the short term. Austin Wilson takes over the reigns, and his inexperience against such a tough defense will be hard to overcome for the Orange. Even with FSU potentially down its best rusher and receiver (Karlos Williams and Rashad Greene), FSU still has Jameis Winston, and he'll lead the Noles to victory. Florida State 34, Syracuse 10

Cincinnati vs. Miami

The Hurricanes step back out of ACC play to face a team they have dominated. Miami is 10-1 against Cincinnati, and the lone win was back in 1947. Miami should dominate in this one, as Cincinnati is ranked 123rd of 128 FBS teams against the run. And the Hurricanes have the best one the ACC has to offer in Duke Johnson. He should easily rack up 100 yards against the Bearcats defense. Brad Kaaya should also have a nice game through the air too. This should be a fairly easy Miami win. Miami 41, Cincinnati 13

Duke vs. Georgia Tech

I am very intrigued by this game. Duke lost in its last game against Miami, but we really don't know how "for real" they are yet. The one thing benefiting them this week is the bye week they had last week, which gave them an extra week to prepare for Georgia Tech's triple option offense. Duke's offense will be able to get something done against a very average Georgia Tech defense, and even though they have that extra week to prepare for it, I think the Duke defense will struggle to stop Georgia Tech's offense. This will be a bit of a shootout, but I have a hard time going against Georgia Tech right now. Georgia Tech 34, Duke 31

Louisville vs. Clemson

Shockingly to me, this is their first ever meeting. While they have been bitten by the injury bug, Louisville is still 5-1, and have found ways to win despite those injuries. The Cardinals have been winning with their backup quarterback and their fourth string running back, and it hasn't stopped them yet. Clemson has been easily the second best team in the ACC, especially after Deshaun Watson took over at quarterback. I think Louisville's defense will be able to contain Watson somewhat, but not enough to win. Clemson wins at home. Clemson 27, Louisville 16

Boston College vs. NC State

Not only is this an Atlantic division matchup, but this is also a matchup of former Florida quarterbacks having success away from Gainesville. Tyler Murphy and Jacoby Brissett have led their teams to winning records to this point. The Eagles will do their work on the ground, while NC state is more of a balanced offense. They'll get yardage through the air and on the ground. NC State's defense is not very good against the run, so the Eagles could get a lot of yardage off of it. NC State needs to be a much better passing team this week compared to last week, as Brissett threw for just 35 yards. They'll be better this week, as BC's defense isn't a lot better. This will be a close game throughout, but I lean slightly towards the Wolfpack at home. NC State 23, Boston College 21

North Carolina vs. Notre Dame

It doesn't get any easier for UNC. After allowing 154 points over their last three games, the Tar Heels have to go on the road to face a top 10 team. Notre Dame isn't an offensive juggernaut, but given how bad UNC's defense is, the Irish will score plenty. My guess for UNC is that Marquise Williams will lead a couple of successful drives, then Larry Fedora will bring in Mitch Trubisky, and he'll turn the ball over, and things will go haywire from there. This will be a blowout. Notre Dame 41, UNC 17
