Today we take a look at which players on the Syracuse basketball roster are projected to be taken in the 2016 NBA Draft. Somewhere, Jim Boeheim looks as perplexed as he does in the above photo, thinking to himself, "Why?"

The 2016 NBA Draft is a lifetime away at this point. The Syracuse basketball team is still 74 days away from its first exhibition game, but it's still fun to prognosticate draft night. Today, we take a look at who the experts think will be taken in the 2016 NBA Draft from this year's Syracuse Orange team.

Michael Gbinije has garnered a great deal of attention this summer. From playing for the Nigerian Nation team to trying to trying to be more swaggy on the court, Silent G deserves the attention he's received -- he's probably going to lead Jim Boeheim's team in scoring this year, among other categories. The experts weight in on the fifth-year senior's draft standing:

Ricky O'Donnell, SB Nation: Michael Gbinije, 29th

"Gbinije is my pick to be the breakout senior of next season. He has a very good feel for the game, nice size for a wing at 6'7 and averaged nearly two steals per game last season. He'll be 23 years old next season, but he can play."

David Gardner, Sports Illustrated: Michael Gbinije, 30th

"...Gbinije kept the Orange together. He does everything well for a guard, and he'll be a breakout player this season."

Well, he's more of a point-forward. But he does a lot of things well at the guard position, too.

Elsewhere, nbadraft.net has Gbinije going 38th overall to Detroit in the second round. No other Syracuse player has been listed on any notable 2016 mock draft boards. Also, DraftExpress had no Syracuse player taken in its 60 player mock draft.
