Wake Forest: Taking a look at FSU's players to watch

Who are the key Noles to know?

Offense: Dalvin Cook (Sophomore RB)

It seems like every week the Deacs are taking on one of the best runners in college football. This week is no different, as the Deacs will face the ACC's leading rusher, Dalvin Cook. This year, Cook has run 64 times for 476 yards and 5 touchdowns. He's averaging an impressive 7.4 yards per carry. Even with FSU having a bye week last week, he is still 1st in the ACC and 12th in country in rushing yards. Based off last week's defensive performance, in which the Deacs gave up 211 yards on 52 carries to Indiana on the ground, Dalvin Cook is likely due for a monster game this Saturday when Florida State comes to Winston-Salem. If Wake Forest wants any shot in this one, they're going to have to find someway to slow down Cook and Florida State's run game. Easier said than done.

Defense: Nile Lawrence-Stample (RS-Senior DT) and Derrick Nnadi (Sophomore DT)

I was trying to pick a single player to watch for this Florida State defense, but these two players are so similar that I just picked both of them. Nile Lawrence-Stample has recorded 8 total tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss and 1 sack on the season, while Derrick Nnadi has 8 total tackles with 1 tackle for loss and 1 sack. Both these players are huge, 300 pound defensive tackles that can bully their way into the backfield and blow up plays. The Deacs are going to have to neutralize these two players in the run and the pass if they want to be able to get the offense going. With Wake's offensive line struggles, this may prove to be a difficult task. The GIF below is just downright frightening.
