Roy Williams, Brice Johnson and Marcus Paige all took turns taking questions from the media in the first press conference of the season ahead of Friday's opening tilt with Temple. Obviously the two biggest questions related to the lineup with Paige out and when Paige might return. Williams basically said playing time for Theo Pinson, Joel Berry and Nate Britt will be predicated on player performance.
Paige said he still hopes to play in the November 21st game at Northern Iowa though that would be a mere 18 days since he suffered a broken bone in his non-shooting hand during November 3rd's practice. Paige also indicated he wanted to be 100% when he returned as to avoid dealing with any lingering issues. That, in itself, probably points to Paige taking the full four weeks, possibly even more which means him playing versus Maryland is an iffy proposition.
