Wake Forest has added its second grad transfer in as many days.

Wake Forest's 2016-2017 roster is finally complete. Per ESPN's Jeff Goodman, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons have added Matt Williams, a graduate transfer out of UCF. Williams visited Wake Forest this past weekend. He was also considering UTEP, George Washington, Rider, and Miami. He is eligible to play immediately. What will he bring to the Wake Forest roster?

Williams is a 6'5", 220-pound wing, who is originally from the Orlando area. He averaged 8.1 points per game last season. Williams has suffered from a number of injuries during his career, and missed nearly the entire 2014-2015 season. He shot "just" 33% from beyond the arc this past season, but shot 39% as a freshman, and 37% as a sophomore. His offensive rating was 103.3 last year, but he had a rating of around 114 during both his freshman and sophomore seasons. He's a low usage player who will be able to knock down shots, limit turnovers, and not get in foul trouble. I don't think that he will start, but he will be a very valuable piece coming off the bench.

Danny Manning and his staff deserve a lot of credit for this offseason. They identified two targets, and then went out and landed both. Both Williams and Austin Arians will fill a critical void that Wake had, which was outside shooting from the small forward position. Additionally, both of these scholarships will be available to use for the 2017 class, which gives the staff more roster flexibility in the future.
