Jake Layman made five threes and scored 23 points to lead Maryland in scoring in their exhibition win over Catholic on Sunday. Layman started with Nick Faust and Dez Wells in the backcourt, while Evan Smotrycz (still had to look twice to spell that name right) and Shaquille Cleare started down low. Charles Mitchell came off the bench but tallied a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
