* Notes *

Despite a shaky looking loss at home against Texas. Kansas holds on to the number 1 seed. It's only one loss but that was one brutal 2nd half the Jayhawks played. It isn’t a cause for concern yet…

Pittsburgh just lost at home to Notre Dame which puts a dent in their number one seed chances.

I'd have these teams as number 1 seeds. Ohio State, UCONN, Duke, and Kansas hanging on over an undefeated San Diego St. We’ll talk more about the Aztecs in a moment.

The ACC as I wrote yesterday seems pretty locked into 5 teams.

Duke, North Carolina, Boston College, Virginia Tech and Florida State. Maryland and Miami appear to be the next closest ACC teams to getting in.

No ACC team is seeded higher than a 7 seed, other than Duke. The ACC is going to need some upsets to get more than 1 ACC team into the 2nd week on the NCAAs. Right now I betting on Florida State because of that great defense, provided they avoid one of those number 1 seed Big East teams. It can happen the Noles are the one ACC team that might be able to work themself into a 4 or 5 seed by the time March rolls around.

If someone doesn't mind please tell where San Diego St. came from? Are they really that good? We'll find when they go to BYU on Wednesday. Steve Fisher of Fab 5 Michigan fame is back winning lots of games. They are a #2 seed in the West.
