North Carolina struggled to run the football in 2013 and coincidentally the offensive line struggled with consistency as well.  The Tar Heels young linemen were thrown in the fire last year and that the adversity should pay dividends for a unit that was criticized throughout 2014.

Lucas Crowley returns taking over at center for Russell Bodine who left after his junior season for the NFL.  Crowley started at center toward the end of 2013 and is a physical blocker who will lock down this position for several seasons as long as he stays healthy.

Landon Turner and Caleb Patterson are projected to start at guard, but both will be pushed by Landon Turner and Will Dancy. North Carolina needs to stay healthy at the guard position because of the lack of depth within the interior line.

John Heck projects to start at right tackle position.  His back up is Kiaro Holts who was a five star offensive lineman who has struggled to make his way into the line up consistently.

John  Ferranto holds down to starting left tackle spot, but he may face the biggest push of all the backups on the  offensive line depth chart.  RJ Prince and freshman Bentley Spain are both talented players who will see the field early this fall.

There is talent along the offensive line however if the injury bug hits this position could quickly look similar to a year ago.
