Jeff Goodman reported on Twitter that Boston College has hired Ohio University's Steve Christian as their new basketball coach.
Boston College has agreed to a verbal agreement in principle to bring Ohio University coach Jim Christian to Chestnut Hill, multiple sources told ESPN.com.
Christian interviewed with Boston College earlier in the week and returned Wednesday, sources told ESPN.com.
The 49-year-old Christian, who is 49-21 over the last two seasons with the Bobcats, attended nearby Boston University and was an assistant at Rhode Island in the mid 1980's.
The news was met with a collective yawn from Boston College fans on Twitter if that tells you anything about the hire. Of course, winning the press conference has never helped a team in the ACC standings.
