Tony Bradley likely to return for the Tar Heels on Saturday

After missing two games with a concussion, UNC’s Tony Bradley will likely play against Boston College.

After sitting out game against Florida State and Syracuse, Tony Bradley should be back in action for UNC when the Tar Heels take on Boston College this Saturday. Roy Williams said yesterday that, barring any unforeseen setbacks, Bradley would likely be available for Carolina’s next game.

Bradley suffered a concussion in Winston-Salem in UNC’s win over Wake Forest. He hit his head hard on the LJVM floor and immediately left the game. He was unavailable the past two games against the Seminoles and the Orange.

Not having Bradley led to some rather interesting lineups for Williams, including one against Florida State that featured Theo Pinson at center. Isaiah Hicks and Kennedy Meeks have had to work hard to stay out of foul trouble while the team has been down a post player, which they managed to do very well against Syracuse. Hicks wasn’t charged with a single foul in the game.

Having Bradley back puts the team back to full strength once again as they head to Conte Forum on Saturday for a game against Boston College. The Eagles are not the team that previously went winless in conference play, and road games in the ACC have been notoriously tough this season. Being able to use their full roster of players can only help Carolina avoid another disappointing loss on the road this season.

Concussions are a nasty business, so it is encouraging to see that Bradley won’t have to miss too much time trying to recover from his. Hopefully he’s feeling back to normal and ready to go on Saturday.
