Theo Pinson, a junior guard for North Carolina, didn’t quite start the season off in style.  Before the season even started, Pinson was sidelined due to a foot injury that wouldn’t allow him to come back until conference play.

Even though he has always brought a little fire and spirit to the team, especially with his sideline and interviews, it is now time to bring that emotion to the floor.  That couldn’t have been more apparent in the Tar Heels win against the Florida State Seminoles.

Pinson came back against rivals NC State on January 8 and even though he didn’t find a way to put points on the board, Pinson is bringing other critical factors that is helping propel the Heels to a 4-1 conference record.

In what might be one of his best games of the season, Pinson brought the life back into the Dean Dome and left every emotion on the floor.

In the 96-83 win, Pinson recorded a solid double-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists.

But Pinson brought the emotion, the flavor, and the style that the Heels have missed at times this season.  Not only is he the Tar Heels best defender, he is also the emotional leader, something that every team wish they had.

The Heels have it now and could it be the missing piece this season to propel them into the NCAA Tournament.
