For the second consecutive year, a nationwide summer basketball tournament, dubbed "The Basketball Tournament" will take place in late July.

This year's tournament field has expanded to 97 teams and teams will compete for a million dollar prize. The teams will come out of four different regions - Northeast, Midwest, South and West. The Final Four of the tournament will air on ESPN while many of the regional semifinals and finals will air on ESPNU.

The field is loaded with talented players, headlined by the reigning champions, the Notre Dame Fighting Alumni. Their roster includes players like Ben Hansbrough, Eric Atkins, and Tim Abromaitis.

The Syracuse alumni team, nicknamed Boeheim's Army, showcases players such as Eric Devendorf, Hakim Warrick, Baye Moussa Keita, and Donte Green. And of course, famous ESPN blog, Grantland also fielded a team, they are led by Brian Scalabrine, Jason Williams, Garrick Sherman, and Mike Bibby.

Nonetheless, there are some former Pitt players in the field, and they are on quite talented teams, too. Gilbert Brown's DMV's Finest, is a team that nobody should sleep on. Coached by Maryland legend Juan Dixon, the team is full of talented players such as Brown, former Georgetown Hoyas Austin Freeman and Chris Wright, as well as a handful of former George Mason players.

Sam Young has found himself on a basketball roster back in the states as he plans to suit up for Big Apple Basketball which is headlined by other former NBA players, Smush Parker and Derrick Caracter.

Last but not least, Tyrell Biggs will play for Reach 1 Teach 1, a team that features former WVU stars Truck Bryant and Kevin Jones and NFL star Devin McCourty.

Take a look at the team list here, you won't regret a good trip down memory lane.
