Both highly talented players.

The Syracuse basketball men’s coaching staff extended a scholarship offer to Class of 2019 Top 30 guard Jalen Lecque on Wednesday, according to Corey Evans of Rivals.com.

As Evans mentions in his tweet, Lecque runs with Southern Stampede on the EYBL circuit. The team is based out of Atlanta.

Lecque is listed as the No. 3 best point guard in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports. He’s also listed as a five-star prospect and the 13th-best player the class, according to Jerry Meyer.

He’s from Arden, North Carolina and attends Christ School. He already has an impressive list of schools interested him, including 25 offers. The rising junior doesn’t have any early favorites.

As you can see in his highlight video, he likes getting to the rim and throwing down with authority....

The other Class of 2019 offer went out to Khalif Battle, who is Tyus’ younger brother.

Gary Battle, the father of the two basketball standouts, announced the offer via Twitter once it happened.

The offer was extended back on July 10.

Battle is starting to receive attention from major D-1 schools. Miami recently offered, and he has visited Syracuse (plenty of times to see Tyus) and Villanova, among others.

Similar to his older brother, Khalif is an athletic kid with extreme bounce. He’s known to post videos once in a while of impressive dunks after workouts.

The major thing with Khalif’s game is his ability to score from everywhere on the floor. He can get into the paint, but he’s also showing off a jumper that sets him apart from most kids in the 2019 class.

He’s a nature scorer, similar to Tyus.

The 247Sports composite rankings lists Battle as the No. 3 combo-guard in the class. The site also has him as a four-star prospect.

A familiar face also extended a scholarship offer to Khalif — Mike Hopkins and the University of Washington. It’s no secret that the Battle’s and Hop have a strong relationship, so keep an eye on the Huskies.
