The first game week press conference of the season for Roy Williams which was devoid of off the court questions, much to the relief of the Tar Heel head coach. Here are a few key points.

-The starting lineup is likely settled on the same five from the exhibition games. Marcus Paige, Justin Jackson, J.P. Tokoto, Brice Johnson and Kennedy Meeks will start the game Friday versus NC Central unless something weird happens. It should be noted this is a rare instance of Roy Williams trotting out a group of starters that will keep the fan base from the annual airing of grievances because someone isn't starting they all think should. No worries, Roy Williams still won't call timeouts and probably play Desmond Hubert too much for some people's taste.

-The freshman trio of Jackson, Theo Pinson and Joel Berry have meshed in nicely with the team. Jackson, in particular, has a "knack" for the game, something Williams says you are just born with. All three have been committed to the program so long the chemistry has been great. The extra practice time and two exhibition games have also helped them get acclimated more quickly. Williams says this was important given their prominence to the team this season.

-The overall team chemistry has been deemed great by Williams but he says he is waiting for actual adversity to hit before he can assess how good it is. He notes that right now it's all "popcorn and ice cream."

-Both Williams and J.P. Tokoto had a good laugh over Brice Johnson saying he wanted to be a "bully" on the court.
