We continue with our player rankings – time for the linebackers!

FieldsPrevious and Upcoming Rankings

Quarterbacks | Running Backs | Wide Receivers | Offensive Linemen  | Tight Ends | Defensive Linemen | Cornerbacks | Safeties | Special Teams

1) Keith Kelsey, Louisville

If there is a better pair of linebackers in the country than Louisville, I don’t know them. Louisville’s Keith Kelsey starts our list of the ACC’s top linebackers. Kelsey was first team All-ACC selection in 2015. He had 107 tackles last year with 12 tackles for loss.

2) Devonte Fields, Louisville

Our second Louisville linebacker on this list is Devonte Fields. If Fields can duplicate his 2nd half of last season, he very well could overtake Kelsey on this list. He’s a potential first round pick. The former Big 12 defensive player of the year, is an absolute talent. I just want to see a full season of consistency.

3) Micah Kiser, Virginia

Who is the returning linebacker joined Keith Kelsey on the 1st team All-ACC team last year? That would be Virginia’s Micah Kiser. Kiser was third in the ACC last in tackles at 117. He is high energy linebacker, that has All-American potential.

4) Ben Boulware, Clemson

Ben Boulware is a tough hardnosed instinctive linebacker. He had 82 tackles last year, and was a 2nd team All-ACC player selection. He may not be the most athletically gifted linebacker on this list, but he is certainly one of the best linebackers in the ACC.

5) P.J. Davis, Georgia Tech

Athlon Sports calls Georgia Tech Linebacker P.J. Davis one of the most underrated players in the ACC. A bit undersized at 5-11, Davis has been a tackling machine for the Yellow Jackets totaling 196 tackles the last 2 years.
