UNC looks to add three new players to this year’s roster.
North Carolina basketball starts in just 134 days, and it is time to look at some of the new faces in the program. The class consists of three players: Tony Bradley, Seventh Woods, and Brandon Robinson. Tony Bradley is a 6-10 throwback low post player. He should be the first big man off the bench, playing the reserve role to Kennedy Meeks or Isaiah Hicks. Seventh Woods is a 6-1 shooting guard that brings incredible quickness and athleticism that will help push the ball in transition. Brandon Robinson, a 6-5 shooting guard from Georgia, will help bring consistent deep shooting to a team in desperate need of it.
Center Tony Bradley
The five-star Bradley comes in as Carolina’s highest touted recruit. The former McDonald’s All-American brings with him a solid repertoire of interior scoring, rebounding and defense. Bradley should see immediate playing time, as North Carolina is limited at the center position.
Shooting Guard Seventh Woods
Seventh Woods became a household name when he was only 14 years old, thanks to his explosive dunks on YouTube. Woods is the ideal guard for Roy Williams scheme. His freakish athleticism combined with his speed will help him flourish in the transition game and should allow him to see some playing time as a freshman.
Shooting Guard Brandon Robinson
Brandon Robinson’s biggest strength is that he can shoot the three ball well. This bodes well for a North Carolina squad that ranked 263 out of a possible 346 with a three-point field goal percentage of 32.7%. Due to these staggering statistics, Robinson could be as coveted a recruit to Roy Williams as they come.
